Summary
The proposal is to strip the existing metal roof and replace it with a felt system. This also includes raising mechanical plant units on the roof decks, replacing a roof hatch, and fitting a protective barrier around the roof area. The site is Nelson Street police station in central Aberdeen, directly next to Central Fire Station. Gallowgate Centre is a couple of minutes' walk away, and City Hospital is a short drive. All changes are at roof level. Nothing is proposed at ground level or to the building's footprint.
