Summary

The applicant wants to change restoration rules for Barclays at 22 to 24 Hide Hill, Berwick.

Only some temporary inside fixtures and partitions would need removal later. The building has already had some inside work removed since 1995.

The council will decide after the comment period. This asks for a change to plans already approved for the protected old building.

What the council wrote

Variation of Condition 3 (Restoration) pursuant to listed building consent 26/01261/LBC - The condition includes the wording "all works associated with the approved alterations shall be removed in their entirety, and the building shall be restored to its former condition as existing immediately prior to the grant of this listed building consent" which is regarded as inappropriate for the existing condition of this building, which has been subject to partial stripping out of internal alterations carried out since 1995. Condition 3 is to be replaced with the following wording: "Upon the cessation of the temporary use hereby, or when the authorised alterations are no longer required for that use (whichever occurs sooner), only the works scheduled below associated with the approved alterations shall be removed within 3 months of such cessation.
