Willow branch removal and Oak crown reduction at a Standish home

Summary

The application covers works to two trees in the garden of a home on Churchlands Lane, Standish. A single low branch of a Willow tree, which currently grows into the crown of an Oak, would be cut off. The Oak would also have its crown reduced by about 3 metres to control its size. The street is a built-up residential area with around 192 homes close by. St Wilfrid's Church of England Primary Academy is a couple of minutes' walk away, and St Marie's Roman Catholic Primary School is a few minutes' walk in the other direction. The works are routine tree management. They are proposed to stop the two trees from interfering with each other and to reduce shading to the property.
